Happy Halloween,and National Adoption Month!

 

 

 

 

Halloween was so fun this year! I love that Hailey likes wearing her costume all over, even last year she loved having a costume on. We were going for a "Charlotte's Web" theme with Mr. Zuckerman, Charlotte, and Hailey as Wilbur, but the Piglet costume just didn't work for it so we were simply a farmer, a spider, and piglet. Hailey loved "trick-or-treater"ing as she called it and really liked handing out candy. Except to the mean scary wolf that came to our house. She's a candy girl for sure and she even chooses suckers over chocolate. What?! Anyway, this month is also National Adoption Month and we are INCREDIBLY grateful for adoption and glad we get the opportunity to work with an organization called Families Supporting Adoption (FSA) to promote a positive image of adoption in our community. We are the activities chair people and it's keeping me extremely busy this time of year. Hope you all had a great halloween and don't forget to spread the word about adoption!

Hailey, You have stolen our hearts and taken our breath away (literally)on many occasions. We love you more than everything and are SO LUCKY to have you in our family! Happy Birthday Hailey girl!

The Adventures of Hailey

 

 

 

 

We are having such an amazing time watching Hailey grow up...it's going by WAY too fast though. We took her to Hogle Zoo this summer with Uncle Jason and Aunt Alisa. She loved the monkeys almost as much as she loved staying with Uncle Jason! She loves shoes. She can put her own sandals on and is always wearing a pair of my shoes around the house. She also loves playing in the water...especially the hose. She drenches herself just like she did when she was a baby and it's still hilarious. She is also quite the candy thief! She can find candy anywhere in the house and find a way to get it, even if it's in the highest cupboard behind all the dishes! We'll post more adventures later, and hopefully I can figure out posting videos because we've got some funny ones of her.

What's Happening?

Here is our life in a few pictures for the last 2 months or so. Hailey is growing so big and it's so fun to watch her learn and want to try everything by herself. She loves playing with cousins and going to the grandma's houses. She loves 4th of July fireworks and camping (oops forgot the camera for that) and coloring. As for me and Jeff, we're doing well. Just celebrated our 9th anniversary with a fancy dinner and movies and ice cream at home. We feel so blessed to be a family and wouldn't trade a day of it for anything!

I know we're SUPER SLOW lately at getting anything posted, but here's a few Easter pics. Hailey enjoyed the easter egg hunts we did, especially during conference in the family room. That was a great idea that kept her entertained for most of the session. She got a harmonica to play with her dad and they are pretty good at playing duets. Hailey loves it! We're so excited for nice weather and to be playing outside everyday!
