Hailey

 

Well I thought I better post a quick update for anyone who still checks this! We're still not approved for our next adoption :[ There was a little misunderstanding about who was supposed to send out reference letters soooo, we'll just keep being patient.
On a SUPER happy note....Hailey. She is the best! We're having so much fun with her it's crazy. I tried taking her sledding at my friend Natalie's house a few weeks ago, she liked playing with her boys, but wasn't a huge fan of being out in the snow and sledding. She also has been loving playing with her cousins every week. She and Easton get to play one full day a week and she plays with Logan and Ali a lot too. It's so fun to watch all these little kiddos learn to play with each other. She also had a date day with her daddy a few weekends ago and he took her to watch the Simplot games. I loved how cute she looked in her little track suit and pigtails. Her hair is getting so long and it's beautiful. I still haven't cut a single strand of it.
Hailey is also really into coloring lately. She loves to draw on herself with pen and recently contributed a beautiful new art piece on our kitchen table in blue sharpie. It's really pretty. We're keeping busy and staying happy and we hope it's the same with everyone else!

One More Step!!

Our home study went well- we passed it. The only thing we have left to do is write our birthparent letter and then all the reports and paperwork should be finished and approved by Feb. 8th! So check back next month for the link to our profile on www.itsaboutlove.org
A quick update on our fam...we've been sick! Pinkeye, ear infections and the flu; we are ready to be healthy again. Hailey is in a toddler bed now and has been doing really well in it. She doesn't fall asleep in it for naps and we find her in some of the funniest places. She went walking on the treadmill at Jeff's office for the first time the other day and that girl can cruise! She was pretty mad when I made her get off. Well, hope the New Year is great for everyone so far!

Getting Close!

We've been working on our paperwork for adoption #2 and it takes us forever! We are getting really close though! Our homestudy is scheduled for the 15th so hopefully by Jeff's birthday we'll be completely approved and back in the waiting game for another little miracle to join our family. It still amazes me the strength, love, and courage of Hailey's birthfamily and all birthfamilies. I am SO thankful that we have found this road to journey on. I LOVE THIS FACE! She is so amazing and we love her so much. Life got 10x harder when she came along, but it also got 20x more funny, exciting, and joyful. I am amazed at the Lord's hand in our lives. We are SO THANKFUL for our Savior Jesus Christ for all he has given us so that we could live, and live together forever.
