Sunday Drive

Sunday Jeff and I decided to take a drive to Ophir about 12 miles south of Tooele. It was a beautiful day and the snow is starting to melt and we saw all sorts of animal tracks, but no animals. Anyway when we entered the town of Ophir this was the sign posted on the road. I loved it and had to get a picture. I think I'm going to make that sign for my house! -Liz

HOLY SNOW!

I can't believe how much snow we have here for Valentine's Day! What a great present, it means we get to snuggle on the futon and watch movies and eat popcorn and M&M's tonight! Anyway, we couldn't get our car out of our space this morning because there was so much snow so Jeff had to walk to work! The snow was up to my knees when I stepped in it, I tried to take a few pics, but I don't think they do justice. Happy Valentines Day!

Well, I finally got to play with our blog a little to make it more....us! Anyway, there is a great link for really cute backgrounds www.cutestblogontheblock.blogspot.com if anyone wants new ideas! Anywho, I wanted to post our adoption profile pictures because I thought you'd all like to see more of us, but unfortunately they are pretty small pics until I figure out how to make them bigger. We spent the weekend at home in Las Vegas and it was beautiful and sunny and so much fun to see all of our friends and Bud's family there! We were SO BLESSED we got to travel on clear roads the entire trip because right now in Tooele it is dumping so much snow I can hardly believe my eyes!! Enjoy the new pics! Love, Liz

THUMBS UP

Well, I called LDS Social Services yesterday to make sure they got our last packet we mailed in that had our photo collage. The adoption secretary said she saw our collage and it was very cute, she didn't think it would have a problem getting approved...YAY! She also said our fingerprints were sent in so probably 6 wks until they are back and also she is mailing off some stuff to all of our references to fill out and mail back so any of you that are references for us please get them in quickly! Sounds like our last thing to do is our home study, which maybe if we're lucky Jeff will get a Friday or Monday off in the next 3 months and we'll be able to get back to Vegas to do it! I can't believe it's actually getting close to actually being approved! Anyway, Tooele is great...just cold! I want to update this blog with new pics and background, but since the only internet access I have is at the library, I won't be able to for a while. I guess you'll all just have to see the same old stuff for a while! later

TOOELE, UT

Well, we made it! We are here in Utah and it's been pretty nice. Tooele is a pretty nice quiet town with a beautiful view of the mountains everywhere you look. Some of our neighbors are a little bit ummmm colorful. The library opened today so I have access to the computer, but everything I needed to check I needed my password for and I haven't been on them for so long I forgot all our passwords, but at least I remembered this one! Jeff had a good first day at his affil. he will definitely learn a lot here. Well anyway, we're alive and haven't frozen to death yet, and we haven't had any updates on the stuff we sent in for our adoption. Later!
