Working Class

Well, here's a little update for all of you. Our anniversary was AWESOME! We went to watch Phantom of the Opera (thanks Gayle) at the Venetian and we loved it. Jeff hasn't ever seen it before and it was so fun to be able to take him. The set is seriously amazing and we've been singing phantom songs almost all week. It's been driving Jeff crazy because he doesn't know any of the words, just the music so all he sings is "The Phantom of the Opera is there...." and that's it. It cracks me up. For dinner we had KFC snackers and after the show we had coldstone ice cream. Isn't that awesome? I love that's what we did for our anniversary...what a great life.

Also, I joined America's working class again. One of our PT school friends is working at an office that needed some help with their front desk, so I got a phone call from the owner asking about my plans and asked me to start working the next day. Easiest job I've ever gotten! I'm working at the front desk part time and she wants me to maybe take on more of an office manager position in a few weeks. I'm pretty excited about it and am so glad I've had so much experience working in an office to feel confident that I could do it. I have to say I really learned a TON from working at Jack's office, I think it was a big boost to work there. I love the PT field too, I'm glad I get to work in it with Jeff. Anywho, I'm only working part time on T and TH and then she's pretty flexible about if I want to come in any other times. Her office is also about 1/2 block away from Jeff's work so she lets me work the same shift as Jeff so we can carpool. We have such an amazing life....so many blessings I can't believe it.

7 YEARS!

I know Jeff will be reading this later, so this is a post just for him. Happy Anniversary Jeffer! I still remember our wedding day like it was yesterday and it was the best day of my life! Thank you for marrying me in the temple so that we could be sealed together forever, for always treating me so kind and wonderful, for supporting our little family, for always trying to make me laugh, and for writing me the best poems the world has ever known! I love you mucho, Liz

November 22, 2008

You are all probably wondering why the title of this post is a date. Well, it is pretty exciting but it is not the date we'll be getting a baby. It's the date that will go down in history in the J&L home and probably the Cranor home....I am running a 1/2 marathon that day. WHAT?!!?? Ya, seriously it's not a joke. Kim, I hope you didn't fall over reading that. It is still sinking in for me, and it's really sinking in my legs so far. I'm on day 2 of training with my sister-in-law Erin, who is an avid marathon runner and the reason I have agreed to such madness. Day 1 of training was an easy run/walk of 2 miles and it wasn't bad at all. I could still breathe, and I managed to be able to talk for most of the run. Day 2: waking up I could tell my legs were barely working so I just rolled onto the floor. Stretched out a little before Erin got here for my 2nd workout so I could actually walk. Walked a little ways, then did my first timed 1/2 mile. It wasn't too bad, 5:26, then we walked back home and now my legs are seriously not feeling very sturdy or stable. I believe the last time I ran was a couple of years ago in the little Pocatello Fun Run 5k with Jeff and I thought I would die then...I was racing a little 10 year old to the finish line; he may have won :) So to all you runners and non-runners alike reading this, I am officially inviting you to run with me in the Valley of Fire marathon or 1/2 marathon or 10k November 22, 2008 at 8:00am. Happy trails! -L
PS- Here's a pic of us from 4th of July!

It's finally OVER!

WoW! Well I guess it's official, Jeff & I are finally done with school! Jeff found out yesterday that he PASSED his board exam and will have his license at the end of the week. It is kind of a wierd feeling, I guess a lot of you know how it feels huh? When I was brushing my teeth last night, I heard Jeff with his head buried in the mattress give his shout of joy...it was pretty funny. I feel a little like I'm supposed to be more "grown up" now or something...and yet I'm still the same old me. Pretty much. I AM still indecisive, impulsive, goofy, love to smile, laugh, dance, laugh at my dancing, laugh at Jeff laughing at my dancing, and overall happy. I am NOT, however, still 5'8", good at softball, my same weight as high school, pasty white (well most of me), in as close of contact with my friends as I'd like to be, and finally...smarter than a 5th grader. So I guess that categorizes me as a tan goofy dancing overweight slightly tall 4th grader? Hmmm...I think I'll stick to "Jeff's wife"! Way to go honey!
