It's finally OVER!

WoW! Well I guess it's official, Jeff & I are finally done with school! Jeff found out yesterday that he PASSED his board exam and will have his license at the end of the week. It is kind of a wierd feeling, I guess a lot of you know how it feels huh? When I was brushing my teeth last night, I heard Jeff with his head buried in the mattress give his shout of joy...it was pretty funny. I feel a little like I'm supposed to be more "grown up" now or something...and yet I'm still the same old me. Pretty much. I AM still indecisive, impulsive, goofy, love to smile, laugh, dance, laugh at my dancing, laugh at Jeff laughing at my dancing, and overall happy. I am NOT, however, still 5'8", good at softball, my same weight as high school, pasty white (well most of me), in as close of contact with my friends as I'd like to be, and finally...smarter than a 5th grader. So I guess that categorizes me as a tan goofy dancing overweight slightly tall 4th grader? Hmmm...I think I'll stick to "Jeff's wife"! Way to go honey!

Arizona

We got back from Arizona last night around 8:30 and we were both pretty tired! We had a great trip, thanks Clayton and Kristi for letting us crash at your house and for feeding us! Monday when we got into Glendale, Jeff was so excited to go drive by his childhood home, it was so cute to see him! He was seriously so excited, we drove by like 5 times, I think we were scaring the people who live there now, and then finally stopped to get a picture and went to visit his old neighbors across the street who still live there. It was fun. Then we headed over to his old elementary school and got a photo there too, isn't it nice to be able to remember a wonderful childhood? Anywho, I also got to see two of my cousins who I haven't seen FOREVER and had a blast just visiting with them. Jeff finished his test, but won't feel at ease until he gets the results stating he has passed. I thought he'd feel a little relieved after he had taken the test, but I think he's more nervous now that he has to wait a week to find out! He is so incredibly smart, I have no doubts that he passed. I am so happy to be home and am glad we aren't driving anywhere for a while!

Camp Kolob

This past week was girls camp for me and it was such an AWESOME week! Our girls are so much fun, and sometimes so challenging, but it was really a great experience. I went up the weekend before camp to help my sister in law and the stake get things ready for the girls to come so I was gone for 7 days...a REALLY REALLY long time to be away from Jeff if you ask me! I missed him so much and was so glad to see him when I got home, he even had the house cleaned for me. Seriously, does life get any better? Tomorrow we are headed to Arizona for Jeff to take his national board exam, wish us luck. In the meantime, here is a picture of the beautiful place I lived for a week on the border of Zion's Natl Park.

Jeff Davenport, PT, DPT

I wanted to post the little video I got from graduation day and also Jeff started work today!!!! I'm pretty proud of him and how hard he works and how smart he is...is that bad? My brother and some people in the ward started calling him "Dr. Davenport" and the other day we got a letter from the NV State Board of PT regarding the use of the term doctor in regards to his degree. They state that practitioners MUST refer to themselves by their licensing designation when communicating with the public. Practitioners MAY NOT refer to themselves or other practitioners verbally as "Doctor" when communicating with the public. Practitioners MAY ELECT to refer to themselves by their educational designation in verbal and written communications, but must do so only after referencing their licensing designation. So, correctly for Jeff it would be (verbally) Hi, I'm Jeff Davenport, your physical therapist. I have a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. Correctly written it will be Jeff Davenport, PT, DPT. I originally thought this was silly since even someone with a doctorate in English may refer to themselves as "Dr. soandso", but at church the other day after a few people kept referring to him as "Dr. Davenport" we actually had a lady bring her daughter up who had an earache and wanted to know what they could do for her and if he knew where the best urgent care center was....oops. Jeff had to explain what he does as a physical therapist and tell her he didn't do anything with medicine. So now I can see and understand the boards position on the use of the term "Doctor", but I still like to think of him as "Dr. Davenport"

Emergency Food Challenge

Ok, this post is for Lisa who offered this awesome challenge: Trying to live off of our food in the house for 1 week to see how prepared we are.
Well, our family was in town so the last time we went to the store was Monday and we're doing pretty good. We've had leftover stuff a lot and peanut butter and jelly. We've actually been on a pretty tight grocery budget for the last month so it's been fun for me to get creative and do things like make my own bread and cookies and rolls and stuff. One day for lunch we just had homemade bread with butter and jam...I think that's bad when you have like 4 pieces and aren't planning on running anytime soon?!? Oh well. I have a hard time with not going to the store because I am a total sales finder. Like today an ad came for avacado's 6 for $1.00...are you kidding me? That's insane...I seriously might have to break down and go buy some. I'm with all those who love to have fresh fruit/produce every week, it's hard! Also, our fridge wasn't turned up enough so we had like $6.00 worth of milk go bad ;( very very sad. Looks like we'll be making powdered milk again tomorrow..the best kind I've had is Morning Moo's it isn't as stinky and tastes better than the church one. Thanks for the challenge Lisa!
